What Canva does better
Canva is a far better design tool. If you want a printed menu with real art direction, custom imagery and free-form layout, Canva does that better than we do — by a wide margin.
Our take
These aren't the same job. Plenty of restaurants use Canva for the window poster and Modern Resto for the menu guests read at the table. If you change prices twice a year, Canva is enough. If your special changes daily, a file you must re-export becomes a chore fast.
Frequently asked questions
Can I keep my Canva design and still use Modern Resto?
Yes. Many restaurants keep Canva for the printed menu and the storefront, and publish the table-side version with Modern Resto. The two work fine side by side.
Can Canva generate a menu QR code?
Canva can draw a QR code, but it will point at whatever file you exported. Change the menu and you must re-export, replace the file and often regenerate the QR. With Modern Resto the link never changes.
